Steve and I were married 6/19/65 and are celebrating our 50th anniversary less than a week after our 50th reunion!

We managed to get all six children through college--the four boys at Ohio State and the two girls at Akron U. All are married and have someone else to share their lives. That done, Steve retired from Babcock and Wilcox and I have retired from teaching at St. Mary Grade School.

We volunteer as Couple ministers for the Cleveland Diocese, work with St Vincent dePaul, are Eucharistic ministers and work with pro-life groups.

Four of our six children live in Ohio. We love spending time with the grandchildren. One son lives in Arizona and another in Utah. We love visiting and vacationing.

I think Steve retired so he would have more time for vacations. He is forever coming up with more cruises and places to visit. Since we spent most of our married life at home, caring for the children, this is a real change...and we are both enjoying it.

Adding belated wishes for your birthday—and adding another wish for a slice of rubarb or pistachio cake. Never have had either! It makes me think hmmmmmm, shouldn’t I just beg for a recipe?
