ANNOUNCEMENTS

Woods Giving Day Update

Hi dear classmates,

What an awesome class we are!   The Woods recently sent us some totals for the Woods Giving Day (#WGD), and year-to-date,  Super results.  We did great!  Now it is time to pay up, if you have not already.  Recall, our pledges must be paid by this June 30.

Here are our totals, sent to your class agents, Betty Borders and Barbara Fossum:

•         In total, $21,660 was gifted or pledged by 72 members of your class on #WGD (Woods Giving Day), a 66% participation rate!

•         Catherine Saunders from the Woods Development Office wrote: We love that 1965 makes a huge commitment to #WGD, but your overall commitment to the Woods Fund throughout the entire fiscal year is what makes the greatest impact.  When all pledges are paid by June 30, you will be at almost $50,000 from 71% of the class.  THAT IS AMAZING!!!  Thank you.”

See!  Just terrific!   If you have not done so already, please pay via one of these three ways.

•         Mail a check made out to “St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.”  Make a note on the check that it is for your Giving Day pledge for the Woods Fund. Send the Check to: The Office of Advancement, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, 1 St. Mary of the Woods Col., Saint Mary of the Woods, IN 47876.  Note there only are hyphens in the name of the College.

•         Go online to https://www.smwc.edu,  Click on the “Giving” word at the top, close to the middle.  Then click on the word “Give Now” in the center of the page.  Select the Woods Fund and fill in the other required information.

•         Call 812 535-5151 and ask for the Development Office. You can give them a credit card number.

Many thanks!
Barbara and Betty

Reunion 2022 and the Class of 1965

Fourteen of us (Cathy Campbell missed the picture.) made it to the Woods for our 57th reunion, and as always we had a grand time together.

We had the obligatory class meeting and unanimously reelected Kate Krider Satchwill as our class secretary.  No one else volunteered because no one else could do a better job.  Barbara Fossum and Betty McAndrews are still our class agents.  They are working on an even better way to streamline Giving Day pledges and will need a lot of help from those of you who enjoy being in touch with old friends.  More details are on the way including how we did this year.

In three years we hope to be back again for our 60th reunion, and we want you to be there too.  Mark your calendars and stay well.
